デザイナーの種井小百合は、2009年に渡仏。服飾専門学校StudioBerçotにてデザインを学び、卒業後パリのJean-Paul GaultierにてコマーシャルラインJean-Paul Gaultier SOLEILとオートクチュールコレクションの刺繍デザイナーを担当。
その後、KENZOを創設した高田賢三氏の元で、ウィメンズコレクション/ニットデザイナーアシスタントをする。
2019年日本に帰国後に独立。ブランド「SAYURI TANEI」を立ち上げる。
SAYURI TANEIのインスピレーションの源は、日本の豊かな自然から生まれ日本の織物職人によって丁寧に作り上げた素材と、デザイナーが10年間過ごしたパリの中で学び得たフランスならではの服と人の向き合い方と立体裁断の技法、また日本とフランスの両国で感じた優しくもあり凛とした美しい空気感です。
２つの遠い国のルーツを持つデザイナー種井小百合は、創り出すコレクションの中で東洋と西洋の独特な雰囲気のかけ合わせを表現しながら、
美しい風土を感じる素材と想いを込めたデザインと作り手によって生まれた洋服が、自由に楽しく力強く生きる人達の美しさを支える一つになることを願っています。



The designer SAYURI TANEI, She moved to France in 2009 to study fashion design at
Studio Berçot, a design school in Paris.
After graduation, she worked for Jean-Paul Gaultier in Paris and had been in charge of
embroidery design for haute couture and prêt-a-porter collections (Jean-Paul Gaultier
SOLEIL).
After working for Jean-Paul Gaultier, she worked for Kenzo Takada as a knit designer assistant.
After returning to Japan in 2019, she started her own brand “SAYURI TANEI”
SAYURI TANEI's inspiration comes from the materials born from Japan's rich nature and carefully crafted by Japanese weavers, the French way of dealing with clothes and people and the three-dimensional cutting technique that the designer learnt in Paris, where she spent 10 years, and the gentle, dignified and beautiful atmosphere she felt in both Japan and France. The designer's work is based on the beautiful, gentle and dignified atmosphere she has felt in both Japan and France.
The designer Sayuri Tanai, who has roots in two distant countries, expresses a unique combination of Eastern and Western atmospheres in the collections she creates,
