1980年京都生まれ。14歳の時、ニュージーランドに留学した後、渡英。イギリスのRavensbourne College of Design and Communicationにてファッション＆テキスタイル科を卒業。在学中よりCamilla Staerk、Hussein Chalayan、Kenzoでインターン経験を積み、その後仏ライセンスブランドや英ブランドReemのメンズデザイナーを経て2008年ODRADEKを立ち上げる。

Kanou was born in Kyoto in 1980. After she left for NZ at the age of 14, she moved to the U.K and graduated from Ba (Hons) Fashion & Textile at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. While at school, she interned at labels such as Camilla Staerk, Hussein Chalayan and Kenzo. After working as a menswear designer for a French licensing label and Reem, she launched ODRADEK in 2008.
