神戸市出身。1995年に『alice auaa』ブランドを立ち上げる。1996年、大阪コレクションにてテーマ「精神的解放と肉体的拘束」で新人ステージデビュー。1997年、大阪コレクション海外ジョイントに参加、テーマは「歪み」。1998年、大阪コレクションに特別参加、単独ステージ「再生」を発表。同年、福岡アジアコレクションに参加。1999年、大阪コレクション特別参加、単独ステージ「SKIN」を発表。さらに、ミュージシャンの衣装等を手がける。2010年、東京丸井内『Q-coat』にてコレクションステージ「softry」を発表。

Born in Kobe. In 1995 Funakoshi founded his own brand ”alice auaa”.He joined in Osaka Collection as his debut-collection under the theme of “Spiritual release and Physical restraint” in 1996. He participated in “the foreign joint” of Osaka Collection under the theme of “Warp” in 1997. He was invited into Osaka Collection, where he showed his One-man Collection “Reproduction” in 1998, and in the same year he participated in Fukuoka Asia Collection. He was invited again as a special guest-designer into Osaka Collection in 1999, where he showed his One-man Collection “SKIN”. Afterwards he had been designed the costumes of several musicians. He showed his Collection Stage “softry” in “Q-coat” of Marui Department Store in 2010.
